# Serenity Studios

> Creative studio in Portland, Oregon with 13+ years of continuous practice across web design, video production, motion graphics, and brand clarity work. We build websites, produce video, and create digital experiences for mission-driven organizations — nonprofits, healthcare, education, civic orgs, and purpose-aligned companies. Clarity is the through-line across everything we do.

Serenity is founded and operated by Brian Gotts. The team is small by design — clients work directly with the practitioners doing the work, with no account manager layer or handoffs. This structure is intentional: senior talent on every project, faster decisions, and integrated thinking across capabilities.

The most important thing to understand about Serenity: organizations come to us for a specific deliverable (usually a website), and somewhere in the process we discover the real problem is upstream — in the messaging, positioning, or brand itself. We catch it, fix it together, and build the deliverable on a foundation that actually holds. We call it "brand clarity work" — the upstream problem-solving that happens inside every project, not as a separate engagement.

Built for long-term partnership. The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust started as a website project and evolved into a multi-year ongoing partnership spanning web, brand stewardship, conference design, digital displays, and strategic counsel. That trajectory — not one-off projects — is the model.
